Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify factors affecting Subjective Cognitive Decline (SCD) in adults with diabetes. Methods: This study used data from the 2021 Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, focusing on 507 individuals aged 40 or older diagnosed with diabetes and with complete data, including the SCD assessment. Multivariate logistic regression analysis using a complex sample was performed to identify factors influencing SCD. Results: The prevalence of SCD was determined to be 65%, with age, anxiety, and depression identified as significant factors influencing its occurrence. The likelihood of experiencing SCD increased with advancing age, higher anxiety levels, and the presence of depression, with anxiety identified as the strongest risk factor. Conclusion: Improving cognitive function in adults with diabetes requires tailored management strategies that address psychological health factors, particularly anxiety and depression, with an emphasis on early intervention.

Abstract
Purpose: This study applied qualitative content analysis to investigate communication and relationship building between nurses, nursing assistants, and carers providing integrated nursing and care services. Methods: Twelve participants were recruited, including three managers from each department, nurses, nursing assistants, and carers from general nursing wards at a university hospital in Seoul. Data were collected from May 19, 2023 to May 31, 2023, and analyzed using the directive content analysis method. Results: The analysis yielded five themes, nine categories, and thirteen subcategories. The five themes were passive conversation, one-way communication, team spirit, lack of an information-sharing environment, and mutual respect. Conclusion: Communication and relationship building are critical for information sharing and teamwork. Therefore, a system for sharing patient information needs to be developed. Ultimately, this could improve the quality of interprofessional, team-based care.

Abstract
Purpose: This study aimed to identify factors affecting depression in unemployed youth. Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional design was used. Participants consisted of 176 unemployed youth registered in the three youth support centers located in a province. Data were collected using self-administered questionnaires from February 11 to 21, 2025. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-tests, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis using IBM SPSS 27.0. Results: The results showed that social isolation and grit were significantly correlated with the depression of unemployed youth. Finally, the significant factor affecting depression was social isolation. The regression model accounted for 58% of the variance in depression. Conclusion: The findings of this study suggest that social isolation plays a significant role in depression in unemployed youth. Therefore, interventions are needed to manage social isolation in unemployed youth. These intervention programs should be provided continuously and policies targeting this group are also needed.

Abstract
Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the health behaviors and nutritional characteristics of obese and morbidly obese older adults using the 2022 Korea National Health and Nutrition Survey (KNHANES). Methods: This study analyzed the data of 1,837 older adults aged 65 years or older who participated in KNHANES. Data included demographic characteristics, body mass index (BMI), Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7), subjective health status, weight change over the past year, weight control attempts, diet therapy, physical exercise, and nutrients intake. Obesity was defined as BMI ≥ 25 kg/m², and morbid obesity as BMI ≥ 30 kg/m². Results: A total of 643 participants (BMI ≥ 25 kg/m²) were included, 570 of whom were classified as obese and 73 into morbidly obese group. Prevalence of hypertension was significantly higher in morbidly obese group (82.2%) compared with obese group (66.8%). There were no significant differences in GDA-7, activity limitations, or subjective health status between the two groups. Physical activity and resistance exercise were less than 20% in both groups, and were less frequent in morbidly obese group than in obese group. Additionally, regardless of weight loss, the morbidly obese group had greater weight gain than the obese group. Although the nutrient intakes of the two groups were similar, there appeared to be nutritional imbalances. Conclusion: Obesity old adults have poor health behaviors, but the morbidly obese group is particularly vulnerable. Obese older adults have poor health behaviors, but those who are morbidly obese are particularly vulnerable. Therefore, active efforts are needed to monitor people with poor health behaviors in the morbidly obese group and to improve their health.

Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of teamwork on organizational commitment of operating room (OR) nurses in general hospitals. Methods: The participants were 147 OR nurses who completed a Google survey in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Gangwon provinces. Results: Among the five subscales of teamwork, the level of leadership was the lowest, and OR nurses with 3 to 6 years of experience had the lowest level of organizational commitment. Hierarchical multiple regression analysis was used to analyze general characteristics (age, OR experience) and teamwork subscales. Among the teamwork subscales, leadership, team structure, and communication were statistically significant for organizational commitment, explaining 58% of the variance. Conclusion: Teamwork in the OR nurses is essential for improving organizational commitment. Therefore, establishing a team structure to improve leadership and promote communication among OR nurses is important for improving organizational commitment.

Abstract
Purpose: This study aimed to examine the influence of psychiatric nurses’ human rights awareness on their attitudes toward people with mental illness. Methods: A total of 140 psychiatric nurses working in psychiatric wards across South Korea participated in an online survey conducted from October 16 to October 31, 2023. Data were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 26.0, employing independent t-tests, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis. Results: A significant positive correlation was found between human rights awareness and attitudes toward people with mental illness. Human rights awareness was positively associated with the subscales of authoritarianism, benevolence, social restrictiveness, and community mental health ideology. Multiple regression analysis confirmed that human rights awareness significantly predicted more positive attitudes toward individuals with mental illness. Conclusion: Psychiatric nurses with greater human rights awareness tend to hold more positive attitudes toward people with mental illness. These findings highlight the need for educational, research, and institutional initiatives aimed at fostering human rights awareness and promoting more inclusive and supportive attitudes in psychiatric nursing practice.

Abstract
Purpose: This study aimed to examine the level of career adaptability among nursing students and to examine the influence of communication competence and cultural orientation on career adaptability. Methods: A descriptive survey was conducted with 185 nursing students from a university in Daegu, South Korea. Data were collected between July 26 and October 4, 2023. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze general characteristics and cultural orientation. Differences in communication competence and career adaptability by general characteristics and cultural orientation were analyzed using independent t-tests and ANOVA. Multiple regression analysis was performed to identify predictors of career adaptability, with general characteristics, communication competence, and cultural orientation as independent variables. Results: The average career adaptability score of nursing students was 4.12. A significant positive correlation was found between communication competence and career adaptability. Key predictors of career adaptability included communication competence, satisfaction with the nursing major, and vertical collectivism. Conclusion: Communication competence and satisfaction with the nursing major were significant positive predictors of career adaptability. In contrast, a tendency toward vertical collectivism negatively influenced career adaptability when compared to vertical individualism. These findings highlight the importance of educational strategies that enhanced communication competence and foster satisfaction with nursing major. Additionally, programs that promote equality and mutual respect in interpersonal relationships are essential to counteract the negative effects of vertical collectivism on career adaptability.
