Abstract
This study tested the effects of Nei-Guan acupressure on nausea, vomiting, and anorexia of lung cancer patients on chemotherapy. Methods: A nonequivalent control group pre-post test design was used to identify the effect of Nei-Guan acupressure on nausea, vomiting, and anorexia of lung cancer patients on chemotherapy. The participants were 60 patients who were admitted to a hospital for chemotherapy from February 1 to October 28, 2009. The patients were ran-domly assigned to the control group (n=30) or experimental group (n=30). The data were analyzed using Mann- Whitney test Results: Nausea, vomiting, and anorexia were significantly decreased in the experiment group compared to the control group on the day of discharge from the hospital. However, the levels of nausea, vomiting, and anorexia between two groups were not statistically significant seven days after the discharge. Conclusions: Nei-Guan acupressure is effective in decreasing nausea, vomiting and anorexia of the patients with lung cancer on chemotherapy on the on the day of the discharge while the effectiveness is not certain 7 days after the discharge. Further study is needed to confirm these findings.

Abstract
The aim of this study was to examine the characteristics of hypertension-related nursing intervention programs and their effects on systolic and diastolic blood pressure. Methods: Fifteen studies were selected from four databases (Korean studies, Rlss4U, RICHIS, and JKAN) Published as of 2009. They were ana1yzed by meta- analysis method. The selected studies contained a control group with pre-test and post-test design, measured blood pressure as a dependent variable, and used a reported statistical value for blood pressure to measure the size of effects. Results: The hypertension-related nursing intervention programs were relatively effective in lowering both systolic and diastolic blood pressure, although they were more efficient to decrease diastolic pressure. Among the hypertension-related intervention programs, complementary and alternative therapies were more effective in lowering blood pressure compared to lifestyle change intervention. Conclusions: To acquire substantial data of intervention effects, and complementary and alterative therapy, subjects in pre-hypertensive stage, and elderly people, better industrial and scholastic research methods need to be developed for future research. Further studies are needed to establish complementary and alternative therapies. Studies with different group of participants and studies using effective research design are in need as well.

Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify and evaluate outcome measurement scales of nursing education such as communication, professionalism, leadership, and critical thinking. Methods: A methodological study design was used to evaluate the reliability and validity of the scales. Survey was done to the students (n=407) enrolled in baccalaureate nursing schools. Using convenience sampling method, we tried to include all grades of students. Internal consistency, convergent validity and group comparison were used to evaluate the reliability and validity of the scales. Results: All scales were reliable and valid. Only convergent validity of the scale to measure critical thinking was relatively low. It suggested that critical thinking skill and disposition might be measured separately. Also it was inefficient to measure the nursing education outcomes with separate scales. Conclusions: It is recommended to develop a new integrative scale to measure nursing education outcomes. Also it is necessary to set the norm of nursing students to evaluate nursing education outcomes for the quality control of nursing education.

Abstract
Purpose: Nursing students face constant threats of blood-borne infections such as HIV, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C during their clinical rotation period. This study was done to determine the frequency and risk of the exposure to blood and body fluids. Methods: The data was collected using a questionnaire. Ninety eight junior & senior nursing students were participated in this study. Results: 75.6% of the participants reported more than once during practicum. The exposure occurred most frequently while checking the blood glucose (65.3%). The general ward (45.3%) was the most frequent site for the occurrence of the exposure. However, only eight cases (10.7%) were reported to the medical or nursing personnel in charge. Conclusions: This study shows nursing students are in a great risk of the exposure to blood & body fluid. The risk is highest in the general ward during checking the blood glucose. Thorough education on preventive measures, should be provided to nursing students prior to clinical practium.
