Abstract
Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate nursing professionalism, emotional labor (surface acting, deep acting), empathic concern, and customer orientation, and identify factors contributing to customer orientation among clinical nurses. Methods: The participants in this study were 151 clinical nurses at the three general hospitals. Data were collected using self-administered questionnaires. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression. Results: The significant predictors of customer orientation among clinical nurses were empathic concern (β=.43, p<.001), nursing professionalism (β=.29, p<.001), nursing career (β=.16, p=.007), and deep acting (β=.14, p=.021). Theses variables explained 47.6% of the variance of customer orientation. Empathic concern was the most influential variable. Conclusion: The results suggest that it is crucial to improve deep acting, empathic concern and nursing professionalism for increasing clinical nurses’ customer orientation. Management-level leaders in the hospitals should develop strategies of promoting nursing professionalism, deep acting and empathic concern to improve customer orientation.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the image of nurses portrayed in the internet photographs. Methods: A total of 184 photographs were extracted through the Google portal site using a search term, ‘nurse’. Based on the findings of previous studies, a content analysis was conducted with three categories: appearance characteristics, photographic scene, and photographic source. Results: The result revealed that in the photos of appearance characteristics, 237 (98.3%) out of 241 nurses had a normal or less frame, 235 (97.5%) were well-groomed, and 103 (42.7%) wore pants. In addition, 51 (21.2%) wore a cap (21.2%) and 12.0% were male. In the photographic scene, 69 (37.5%) portrayed nursing activities and 36 (19.6%) suggestiveness. In the suggestive photos, all of nurses were female (χ2=7.63, p=.021) and they were more likely to have small frames (χ2=48.40, p<.001) and wear caps (χ2=113.54, p<.001) and skirts (χ2=39.96, p<.001). Conclusion: This study showed that the photographs of the nurses wearing a cap and expressing the nurse as a sexual object still appeared. There is a need for a systematic image enhancement strategy so that actual images of nurses can be projected on the internet photographs.

Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the actor and partner effects of self efficacy, marital adjustment and family support on Yangseang in infertile couples using the actor-partner interdependence model. Methods: The participants were 108 infertile couples. Data were collected using the Yangsaeng Scale, Infertility Self Efficacy Scale, Revised Dyadic Adjustment Scale, and Perceived Social Support Scale from March to April in 2016. The Actor-Partner Interdependence Model was used to analyze the actor and partner effects of self-efficacy, marital adjustment and family support on Yangsaeng. Results: The fit indices for the model were Comparative Fit Index (CFI) = 0.99, Normed Fit Index (NFI) = 0.99, Tucker-Lewis Index (TLI) = 0.90, and Root Mean Square Error of Approximation (RMSEA) = 0.01, which met the criteria. We found that only self efficacy had an actor effect on Yangsaeng. Marital adjustment and family support of infertile husbands had an actor effect on the Yangsaeng. In addition, marital adjustment showed an interaction effect. Conclusions: The findings of this study indicate that the level of Yangseang in infertile couples was positively associated with the levels of self efficacy and martial adjustment. Partner effects may be hidden due to much stronger actor effects on Yangseang.

Abstract
Purpose: We aimed to assess the mediating effect of fatigue on the relationship between pregnancy stress and depression during the third trimester of pregnancy. Methods: We surveyed 161 pregnant women at a hospital in Gyeonggi province in Korea from October to November, 2017. Data were analyzed by the SPSS WIN 22.0 program. Results: The mean scores of pregnancy stress, fatigue and depression were 2.09±.87 with a range of 1∼4, 2.31±0.84 with a range of 1∼4 and 0.85±0.81 with a range of 0∼3, respectively. Pregnancy stress was positively correlated with fatigue (r=.60, p<.001) and depression (r=.59, p<.001) and fatigue was positively correlated with depression (r=.48, p<.001). The mediating effect of fatigue on the relationship between pregnancy stress and depression (β=.21, p=.010) was found. Conclusion: We found the mediating effect of fatigue on the relationship between pregnancy stress and depression. Thus, healthcare professionals should assess the pregnant woman’s negative emotions in the early stage and facilitate their positive transition utilizing the assesment findings. For example, a development of interventions considering physical and psychological aspects for decreasing fatigue may improve the pregnant women’s well-being during pregnancy and childbirth. In conclusion, the healthcare professionals should understand the potential problems during pregnancy and strive to enhance the positive process of pregnancy and growth of the baby.
